Overview

As the National CDU Channel Manager, the primary responsibility is to develop and execute the channel strategy, while ensuring that all sales revenue targets are met in line with company expectations. The channel strategies for the CDUs will encompass internal collaboration with key account sales teams in food grocery retail, food service/forecourt, and convenience end users (such as Quik Trip), distribution sales through major wholesalers (like URI/Johnson), and major dealers across North America (including Climate Pros/CoolSys). The individual will be in charge of ensuring that the channels possess the appropriate tools, training, and marketing to facilitate sales across various market sectors. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the North American CO2 sales team and will report directly to the North American Sales Director.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated high level of sales and business acumen;
  • Preferably experienced in managing start-up sales channels;
  • Proven track record of high sales activity with end users, distributors, contractors, and consultants in the commercial market sector;
  • Assisting customers in selecting equipment for their projects in collaboration with the pre-sales application team;
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various commercial tiers;
  • Strong pipeline management and follow-up skills:
  • Proactive approach to the market;
  • Excellent presentation skills.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Relevant education such as Mechanical Engineering or a Business degree. 

Practical experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of key account and/or business development experience within the refrigeration, HVAC, or related sectors;
  • Ability to manage technical project sales in a commercial environment and possess a documented track record in sales, including customer development and retention;
  • Experience with CO2 refrigeration systems or similar-sized companies to CARRIER is advantageous. 

Required skills:

  • Proven experience in new business development (hunter profile);
  • Strong experience in Key Account management, distribution, and effective network management;
  • Possesses a challenger mindset;
  • Extensive knowledge of the commercial refrigeration industry within North America.
  • Proficient in managing and updating sales pipelines;
  • Experience using tools such as Salesforce or similar CRM systems;
  • Proficiency in digital sales tools such as LinkedIn, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint.
