Overview

As an Enterprise Architect you will be designing and supervising the implementation of an organization's comprehensive architecture. The responsibilities include harmonizing business and technological strategies, optimizing resource utilization, and steering the development of the organization's technological framework to satisfy both present and future requirements.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand organizational goals and develop an enterprise architecture strategy that aligns with these objectives;
• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, principles, and standards.

Architecture Design:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive enterprise architecture models, encompassing business processes, information systems, applications, data, and technology infrastructure;
• Design and document target architectures that support business objectives and are scalable, adaptable, and cost-effective.

Technology Roadmap:
• Create and communicate a technology roadmap that outlines the evolution of the enterprise architecture over time;
• Ensure alignment between short-term business needs and long-term architectural goals.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Engage with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners, to understand their needs and incorporate them into the architectural planning process;
• Foster collaboration and communication across departments to ensure a unified approach to technology solutions.

Governance and Compliance:
• Establish and enforce architecture governance processes to ensure compliance with architectural standards and policies;
• Provide guidance to project teams to ensure that solutions adhere to the enterprise architecture.

Risk Management:
• Identify and assess risks associated with the enterprise architecture and recommend mitigation strategies;
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential disruptions that may impact the organization.

Technology Evaluation:
• Evaluate new and existing technologies to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture;
• Provide recommendations on the adoption or retirement of technologies based on cost, efficiency, and strategic value.

Collaboration with Solution Architects:
• Work closely with solution architects to ensure that individual projects align with the overall enterprise architecture;
• Provide guidance on best practices and architectural patterns.

Capacity Planning:
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure that the enterprise architecture can scale to meet current and future demands;
• Plan for capacity, performance, and scalability of key systems and infrastructure components.

Documentation and Communication:
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of the enterprise architecture, ensuring it is accessible to relevant stakeholders;
• Communicate architectural decisions, plans, and roadmaps to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise as an enterprise architect, evidenced by a history of successful design and deployment of architectures;
  • Proficient in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman;
  • Possesses exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Skilled in communication and interpersonal relations;
  • Adaptable to collaborative work in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
