Overview

As part of the Carrier Commercial Refrigeration (CCR) Communications & Marketing team, this position will support both communications and marketing deliverables. This role will have responsibility for managing the branding of the company and helping to conceptualize graphic representations of products, solutions, and services. This individual will also work closely with our regional/country teams for local communication support and customer engagement activities including events. The ideal candidate for this position demonstrates meticulous design acumen and strong organizational skills with an eye for detail in our external communications. S/he must be a self-starter and possess tactical, creative, and deadline-driven capabilities, with a track record of success across rapidly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development of external digital communications;
  • Support the migration of content to the new website platform;
  • Supports processes for external communications, specific to message content, timing and audience;
  • Creates positioning, messaging and promotional materials (digital/print content, brochures, website, videos, social media content, etc.) for new products, solutions and services;
  • Contribute to external communications strategies, through development of press releases, key messages, media statements, Q&A documents, briefing materials, etc.
  • Review messaging and deliverables to ensure alignment to brand guidelines and consistency;
  • Manage and design email and newsletter templates for customers, maintains email lists in collaboration with marketing and communications manager;
  • Use metrics, data, and related insights to help drive external communications activities and programs to determine the effectiveness of external events, channels and opportunities for improvement;
  • Supports with media monitoring;
  • Tracks and shares media opportunities;
  • Support event logistics, working from an approved budget and provide the operational support needed to keep events running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of communications experience, preferably in a corporate company, as either a direct employee or contracted communications/marketing agency representative;
  • Ability to develop and drive integrated marketing strategies and tactics across traditional and digital channels, and to demonstrate tangible progress;
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills that reflect an ability to clarify and simplify complex issues and subject matters;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French;
  • A solid communication background in producing, writing, and editing for the news media and/or business, developing or assisting in the development of presentations, press releases, articles, profile stories, signage, videos, and social media posts;
  • Resourceful in gathering information from across the organization;
  • Meticulous design acumen, strong organizational skills, and unfailing attention to detail;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and thrive in a very dynamic environment;
  • Proven track record of executing successful campaigns;
  • Experience with large-scale, global portfolios; including industrial/manufacturing;
  • Given the nature of the global business landscape, must be flexible and reachable in the event of deadlines and quick-turn requests;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Business, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field of study required.
