Overview

Carrier Commercial Refrigeration is a global leader in providing advanced refrigeration solutions for commercial and industrial applications.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Training & aftersales specialist to join our team. In this role, you will primarily provide in-field technical support for CO2 refrigeration systems, dedicating substantial time to problem-solving and troubleshooting on-site at customer locations. A key aspect of this position is to deliver external training focused on developing the expertise of our customers and their partners in CO2 refrigeration technology.

Responsibilities

  1. Field Technical Support:
    • Travel to client sites to provide hands-on troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues specific to CO2 refrigeration systems.
    • Conduct comprehensive system evaluations and diagnostics to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
    • Build strong relationships with clients through regular on-site support, fostering trust and open communication.
  2. External Training Development:
    • Design, create, and deliver specialized training programs for customers and their partners on CO2 refrigeration systems, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Tailor training sessions to meet the unique needs of each customer, enhancing their understanding and operational capabilities related to CO2 technology.
    • Ensure training materials reflect the latest advancements, best practices, and regulatory standards relevant to CO2 refrigeration.
  3. Training Delivery:
    • Conduct engaging workshops and training sessions at customer locations, emphasizing hands-on learning and practical applications of CO2 refrigeration systems.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback and performance metrics, continuously improving the training experience.
    • Provide ongoing support and coaching to customers and their partners, reinforcing learning and building technical expertise in CO2 systems.
    • Work with after sales and support management to create and advance training program.
  4. Remote Technical Support:
    • Offer remote technical assistance to clients and internal teams, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to CO2 refrigeration promptly.
    • Utilize remote monitoring tools and diagnostic software to troubleshoot and analyze CO2 refrigeration system performance.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of field activities, training sessions, and client feedback related to CO2 refrigeration systems.
    • Prepare detailed reports on technical support and training activities for management review, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
    • Stay informed of industry trends, advancements in CO2 refrigeration technology, and changes in regulations affecting the sector.
    • Communicate with after sales support and after sales support manager about all issues found in the field.
  6. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with engineering and product development teams to address technical challenges specific to CO2 systems and contribute to product enhancements.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support customer engagement initiatives and product launches related to CO2 refrigeration solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with CO2 refrigeration systems and technical support, particularly in a field setting.
  • Strong background in training or education, with the ability to convey complex CO2 refrigeration concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Has the ability to travel 60-80%, sometimes on short notice.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in refrigeration technologies (e.g., EPA Section 608 Certification).
  • Experience in instructional design or adult education.
  • Familiarity with digital training platforms and tools.
