As part of the Site Sourcing team, you will own designated direct-material commodities and drive end-to-end sourcing excellence. You’ll report (directly and functionally) to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager and lead initiatives across process improvement, reporting, and supplier & stakeholder relationship management.
Lead supplier communications and negotiate commercial terms (pricing, lead times, delivery terms).
Operate in full compliance with sourcing guidelines, principles, policies, ethics, and SOPs; promptly escalate any deviations to your line manager.
Manage new-supplier onboarding: conduct commercial assessments, market intelligence and analysis, due diligence; coordinate initial supplier quality and financial assessments with relevant teams.
Report spend and savings progress on a bi-weekly basis.
Provide commercial guidance and manage a portfolio of sourcing activities with a long-term, total-cost view of spend.
Partner closely with site functions and internal stakeholders to align on needs and priorities.
Collaborate with R&D on new product introductions and industrialization of new projects.
Support Operations and Plant Management on sourcing requests for direct materials.
Develop and optimize the supplier base, including ongoing market analysis.
Contribute to commodity strategy development with your line manager and category managers.
Lead contract negotiations and evaluate performance of existing agreements.
Monitor, mitigate, and manage supply-continuity risks.
Embed quality KPIs and strategies into supplier agreements; track and drive supplier performance-improvement programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
3–5 years’ experience as a buyer in a manufacturing environment with a strong record of successful projects and results.
Pragmatic, dynamic, and autonomous working style.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Excellent negotiation, critical thinking, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
Fluency in Czech and English.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
