Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale network infrastructure. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic design and operational delivery, operational support for on-prem and cloud-based environments. You will be responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions that meet business and security requirements, while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Designing network solutions and strategies for LAN/WAN/SDWAN/WIFI and voice communications aligned with business objectives.
  • Actively support and assist in the design, planning, and implementation of network segmentation for both wired and wireless but also IT and OT networks throughout the enterprise.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely and accurate manner to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and minimal downtime.
  • Resolve deep-level technical issues across all layers of the OSI model, focusing on network and routing protocols.
  • Develop and/or maintain up-to-date documentation of network architecture(s), design(s), configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Providing technical leadership and expertise to guide network initiatives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems.

Skills and Experience

 

  • In-depth Knowledge of network protocols e.g. TCPI/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and security principles.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and technologies.
  • Experience with network security protocols, firewall management, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with cloud networking, VPN, Zero Trust Architectures and Methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture and various operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  • Solid knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL.
  • Familiarity with Problem, Change processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven, hands-on experience in networking, routing and switching.
  • Level of fluent (or higher) English in speech and writing.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate cross-company teams from various vendors/partners/suppliers.
  • Good communication and organizational skills to work on diverse projects and issues in parallel.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills in English
