Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the designated commodities of direct materials & tools. You will be part of Platform Sourcing Team. You will manage several areas of sourcing including but not limited to Process Improvement, Reporting, Supplier & Stakeholders Relationship Management.

Responsibilities

  • Communication and negotiations of commercial terms including prices, lead time & delivery terms with suppliers.
  • Adhere to sourcing guidelines, principles, policies ethical and standard operation procedures, report any deviation to the front-line manager.
  • Responsible of new supplier’s introduction including commercial assessment, market intelligence, analysis, due diligence, coordinate with quality on initial supplier quality assessment & financial assessment.
  • Strong cross functional leadership with European and US Engineering, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to localize component supply base
  • Report bi-weekly spend & saving progress.
  • Lead Sourcing Projects within sourcing and cross functions.
  • Provision of commercial advice and management of a range of sourcing activities with a long term view of spend management.
  • Close cooperation with site functions and internal stakeholders.
  • Close cooperation with R&D on new product launch & new project introduction.
  • Management & Plant Management on sourcing requests of direct materials.
  • Management and development of the supplier base including market analysis.
  • Support to develop commodity strategies with line manager & category managers.
  • Lead contract negotiations incl. evaluation of existing contract performance.
  • Monitor and manage the risks related to supply continuity.
  • Ensure the implementation quality KPI´s suppliers’ agreements. Implement, negotiate & agree on Commercial KPIs to enable performance management & improvement of suppliers programs.
  • Ordering prototypes and samples

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, economics or any related field.
  • 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing company as a buyer with good track of successful projects & achievements.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management principles
  • Strong negotiation skills and financial acumen
  • Understanding of the components and materials used in commercial refrigeration systems
  • Pragmatic, Dynamic, Autonomous
  • Problem solving - identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English & Preferably German
  • MS 365, especially EXCEL
